Shangcheng is a doctoral student in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at UCSB. Her research examines how people perceive one another and how these impressions are formed and updated over time. She employs multidisciplinary approaches spanning behavioral methods, neuroimaging, computational modeling, deep neural networks, and large language models. Outside of her research, she actively contributes to the open science community as one of the core organizers of the ReproducibiliTea journal club series.
